Melon Juice (Cantaloupe Juice)

Here’s What You Need: 

1 medium sized cantaloupe, (melon)
10 cups cold water
1-1/4 cups white sugar
1 tsp. calamansi or lemon juice (optional)
ice cubes

Here’s How: 

Cut  the cantaloupe and scrape out the seeds and pulp into a fine strainer fitted on top of a medium-sized bowl.  Pour 2 cups of the cold water through the strainer while gently mashing the pulp and seeds with a spoon. Set aside.

Using a cantaloupe scraper, scrape the cantaloupe into a long noodle-like strips.

Transfer the cantaloupe meat into a large pitcher  and combine the remaining 8 cups of cold water, pulp juice, sugar, calamansi or lemon juice and chill. Serve with ice cubes.

Isang Dosenang Halo (Halo Halo)

Here’s What You Need: 

1 bottle (12 0z.)  sugar palm (kaong)
1 bottle (12 0z.) coconut gel (nata de coco)
1 bottle (12 0z.) red tapioca (Sago)
2 cups green gulaman, cut into small cubes
1 bottle (12 0z.) sweetened mung beans
1 bottle (12 0z.) sweetened white kidney beans
1 bottle (12 0z.) sweetened banana
1 bottle (12 0z.) sweetened jackfruit (langka)
1 bottle (12 0z.) purple jam (halayang ube)
Leche flan
Toasted pinipig
Ube ice cream
1 can evaporated milk
White sugar to taste
Shaved ice

Here’s How: 

Place shaved ice in a bowl or tall glass. Arrange the first 9 ingredients or  your favorite halo over the shaved ice. Then topped with ube ice cream, leche flan and toasted pinipig.

Serve with evaporated milk and sugar on the side.

Cheese Pimiento

Here’s What You Need: 

4 – 10 oz  Cracker Barrel Yellow Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded (approximately 5 cups firmly packed)
1 cup butter, at room temperature
1 cup sweet relish pickles
1 1/2 cups sweet pimiento, finely chopped and well drained
4 pcs pineapple rings, finely chopped and well drained (optional)
1 can condensed milk
1/2 tsp. salt

Here’s How: 

In a large mixing bowl combine all the ingredients and mix well.

NOTE:  Recipe can be reduce by half.
